Relugolix is a GnRH agonist which acts as an anti-androgen or anti-estrogen. Unlike most GnRH agonists which are typically delivered as a large intramuscular injection every 1-3 months, Relugolix can be taken as a regular pill while still having the same effect. Relugolix is a much newer medication only approved for use in the US in 2019, but it passed all safety tests with flying colours and seems to have a similar side effect profile to older GnRH-A's like Triptorelin and Goserelin.
